DAY TRIP FOR FISHING in THERMAL GULF, in the mussel farms!!!

If you love fishing and you are in Pieria and especially Makrygialos for the summer holidays, we recommend a 5-7 hour fishing excursion in the crystal clear waters of Thermaikos Gulf.
Our boat is a professional fishing boat. It is equipped with
the best, most modern and specialized equipment available.
With the help of our captain, you will live a unique fishing experience from our boat.
We will set sail in the morning from the port of Alykes Kitros, in the blue embrace of Thermaikos Gulf, the transfer from the accommodation to the port is included in the price.
Surrounded by the sea breeze, on the beautiful shores of Mount Olympus, close to the Delta of the Aliakmonas River, our captain will lead us to the best fishing area, the mussel farms of Thermaikos.
Private Fishing Trip:
We will fish with live bait. We will also fish for squid. Usually our catch is a lot. With all our love, you will be able to fish up to 3 kg of fresh fish from our catch, which you can enjoy with your loved ones.

Children are allowed as long as they are over 14 years old
People: Maximum number of 6 (3 or 4 people can fish at the same time, but during the excursion, everyone will experience the magic of fishing
and they will learn the techniques).

Included in the price:  fishing equipment, a soft drink, a glass of tsipouro, steamed mussels, a sandwich,... and 3 kg of fish if you are a good fisherman!!!

After passing by one of the most splendid foothill of Mount Olympus, you will have the opportunity of taking a glance at the Valley of Tembi and the wonderful geological formations which also attracted the monks in the early medieval period so that they could get closer to God. The programme includes a visit to one monastry (entrance fee: 3 euros/person/monastry). The experience is unforgettable since you willl be involved in a unique experience.
Recommended equipment: comfortable shoes (the monastries are accessible only on steps), outfit covering the shoulders and knees comfying with the orthodox religious rules (to enter the monastry, women must wear an ankle-length skirt, men ankle-length trousers).

Greeks consider it one of the most popular resorts owing to its splendid sandy bays and steady climate. The island is merely 48 km2 and has a population of 4100 people. We take the coach to the port near Volos where we take a large boat in order to set sail for the islands of the Aegean Sea. If we are lucky, we may see dolphins, too. We visit the capital of the island, named Skiathos founded in 1830 in the place of an antique settlement and famous for its Byzantian monuments and its small orthodox church. The further destinations include Koukounaries Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, reputed for its golden sand and crystal clear water. During the boat trip the captain and the crew entertain the passengers with a music and dance show. You have possibility to have a swim, so bring swimwear with you. If you have snorkelling equipment (mask, snorkel), do not forget to bring it with you. The departure of the boat depends on favourable weather conditons. The boat ticket is included in the price.

Mount Olympus is known to be inhabited by Gods in Greek mythology as its 2917 metre tall peak is always hidden by the clouds. The programme leads you through the picturesque village of Litochoro, from where going up inside the mountain we get as far as Priona situated at a height of 1150 metres. This countryside demonstrates the splendid and unique natural environment of Mount Olympus. On our way back, we take a short break at Stavros lookout tower standing at 944 metres high, from where you can see the whole Katerini bay in clear weather. Then we visit the wildlife park near the mountain, where you can see deer and roes.

Recommended equipment: comfortable shoes, a jacket or a pullover as it may turn colder on the mountain.

Saloniki is the second largest city of Greece, the capital of the province of Macedonia. A commercial, industrial and cultural centre. It has several historic monuments, principally of Roman and Byzantine origin. After the coach sightseeing tour, individual exploration helps you discover the bustling Greek metropolis. Shopping in the noisy market district is quite an experience.

A trip to the town of waterfalls, Edessa, where the particular natural environment and city life get along well together. The largest waterfall in the country falls down from 70 metres high. You can walk behind the waterfall where you can enter even a dripstone cave (for an admission fee). There you must yield to the unique atmosphere. Near the waterfall, there is a traditional mill park.
The continuation of our journey by coach, to the unique thermal park filled with cold and hot waterfalls, where you can bathe in the waterfalls and coves of the shady park surrounded by mountains and beautiful trees. Drops are sprinkled everywhere. A large amount of water falls down in an exciting way. The environment is suitable for complete renewal. At the edge of the park, there is a thermal bath which can be accessed for an extra charge if you wish to swim just €2 per person.

SEA WELLNESS SANDBATH

It begins in the pools of sea water rich in salt. Sink into it and enjoy it. In the nearly untouched surroundings the immune system strengthens, the nerve system calms down, and the muscles loosen. The effective black sea mud is to be applied on the whole body by yourself or you help one another with the application. The black sea mud affects positively the cell functions. Following the realxing float, the balance of body, mind and soul can harmonize with the renewing energies. While your skin is drying, the ingredients of the sea mud makes your skin tighten. Scrub the high quality mud off the body with sea weeds. Then scrub yourself with the prepared fruit sea salt crystal. It stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation. The summer skin renewing vitamin treatment makes the skin fresh and velvety. The environment has an excellent effect on the organism. If you choose this trip, which provides an unforgettable experience, you will see some of the photos of history books come to life in their original beauty. At about 7 in the morning we arrive in Pireus, the second largest port of the world, which has been the most important commercial centre of Greece for thousands of years. The next stage of our trip is the Acropolis (admission fee: 12 euros/person – valid in 2010). After visiting the castle hill, you can take a walk in the famous bazaar of the Greek capital, then watch the changing of guards in front of the Parliament Building. We take a short break at Thermai-bay.

The magical Waterland slide park is located 15 kilometres from Thessaloniki in the direction of Chalkidiki-peninsula. In this water and amusement park there are several slides, pools, exotic plants and adventure pools, which are waiting for those who would love to be entertained. The participation fee includes the daily admission fee.

The best opportunity to wander in Saloniki, the „capital" of North Greece. We visit Magic Park, the American style amusement park. The participation fee includes the plain admission fee (extra fee is to be paid on the spot for some attractions). The bustling Mediterranean city at night is just fascinating.

First, we will visit the ancient city of Macedonia VERGINA, the famous city of the father of Alexander the Great, PHILIP II, where we can see the archaeological site, Philip's palace, as well as the beautiful tomb and of course the new AEGON museum.

The River Aliakmonas, the „blue ribbon" of north Greece winds in fabulous scenery. We taste homemade pita and take a sip of anis-tasting ouzo in the delta pleasing the eye and soul. We wander between the walls of Saint John monastery, where the rock dwellings are still inhabited. The rock temple radiating the atmosphere of ancient times has kept the spirit of the ancestors. Nature offers wonderful experiences; a small waterfall in the forest, where even Gods turned up in old times. In the afternoon we go on to Veria, the most important antique town, which is also mentioned in the Bible by the name of Bérea. Dignified, Apostle Paul preached Christianity on his mission. The steps being a piety memorial remind us of this story. Today the past breathes together with the present. In the town, there is a wide choice of excellent confectioner shops and you can wander in the streets of the past.

Live show, where Greek dancers perform an artistic dance show intensifies the atmosphere and tries to teach the guests the traditional elements of the dance steps. Delicious traditional Greek food and full-bodied wine accompany the evening entertainment. The participation fee includes the transfer, too.

Early in the afternoon we leave for Naoussa, where we visit the arboretum Agion Nikolaos situated at the foot of Mount Vermion. The rest park is full of babbling brooks and small ponds and is populated by a diversity of small animals. A pleasant path leads to the waterfall. The experience can be intensified with a rest and a good meal – a Greek trout for example – consumed at the tavern under spreading trees. The participation fee does not contain the cost of the meal.
